Birthday cake

Method

  1. Simmer the water, butter and salt in a saucepan and stir in the flour.
  2. Stir well over medium heat until the dough comes together, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Put the dough in a 2l Margrethe bowl and leave to cool on the countertop for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, crack the eggs into a 500 ml Margrethe bowl.
  5. Stir the eggs into the dough one at a time.
  6. Put the dough in a pastry bag and pipe out the cakes in the shapes of small cake men/women (so they look a bit like stick people), max. 3-4 pieces per baking sheet.
  7. Bake the cakes at 190 degrees in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
  8. Once the cakes have cooled, decorate with icing and chocolate buttons or sweets.

3 dl water

150 g butter

1 pinch of salt

150 g flour

6 eggs

icing sugar, chocolate buttons or sweets for decoration
